In October 2025, I offered a 4-week course based on some of this material.

By popular request, I am now offering this as a 6-month course to allow more time for absorption, clarification, and experiencing of insights.

Integrating Our Vision with Soul Wisdom (6-month course)

Learn to improve your vision from the inside out.

In this unique six-month course, we will explore the soul connection to vision against the backdrop of various disciplines, such as Natural Vision Improvement, Jungian Psychology, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Ayurveda, Polyvagal Theory, Quantum Physics, Yoga Psychology, and Vedanta.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re new to vision improvement or a veteran. The only requirement is an openness to different perspectives.

The course does not include instruction in the Bates Method, nor is any knowledge of the Bates Method required to attend.

Join me for a live call on Wednesday, February 4, to learn more about the course!

The Latin root videre "to see" is cognate with the Sanskrit root vid "to know." Our seeing is our inner knowing.

Why do we shut off our knowing? In The Myth of Normal, author Gabor Maté describes "small-t trauma," which is the trauma of "not being seen or known."

Vision relates to seeing and being seen. We first need to be seen by ourselves.

There are 2 levels of “seeing”. One relates to the seen, the item being perceived. The other relates to the seer, the one doing the seeing. Our perception of the seer can impact the condition of the seen. Therefore, I describe my vision journey as a journey of self-empowerment.

If this type of journey resonates with you, you may benefit from this course.

    About Nalini

Since 2015, I’ve been on a journey to actualize what I’ve believed to be true from my teens, that vision can be improved just like other parts of the body-mind complex. This commitment has been leading me deeper and deeper into myself –– into unearthing root causes and faulty sense perceptions, and even towards my spiritual center.

In 2024, I became certified as a Bates Method teacher in the first training program under Nathan Oxenfeld (Integral Eyesight Improvement). In addition, I am receiving certification in the Eye-Soul Method under Anat Axelrode, and am currently training in the EyeBody principles under the guidance of founder Peter Grunwald and studying fascia movement with Judy Gantz.

In addition to my education as a Natural Vision Teacher, I have a formal schooling in Ayurveda, a deep background in Nonviolent Communication, and am currently completing my certification as a Transformational Coach, which includes an emphasis on Jungian Psychology, Attachment Theory, Affective Neuroscience, Yoga Psychology, Somatic Integration, and more.

This vision quest has been guiding me to find my voice and feel safe being seen for who I am. Each step I take towards speaking my truth enhances my inner and outer vision.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to help others on this journey. I truly believe that we see in proportion to our willingness to be seen.

I live surrounded by the beautiful vineyards of Sonoma County in northern California with my partner and two delightful cats.

    Features

Visualization brings our inner vision out into the world.

    Community discussion board

A community discussion board will enable us to stay in touch during the course to facilitate a discussion of the material between sessions.

    Live monthly calls

Each month we will review the material, and gain insights through shared experiences.

The live calls will also be recorded for those who cannot attend in real time.

    Discount on Sessions

Registration for the course includes a 25% discount on a 4-session package of individual sessions (the equivalent of 1 free session) with me.

Purchase must be completed by August 31, 2027.

    Monthly themes based on Yamas

The flow of the course is based on the yamas from Patanjali Yoga Sutras.

“The principles of yama might not satisfy someone fond of a dos and don'ts list. They are more properly understood as preparations for actions – attitudes that bring clarity, focus, and objectivity to bear on all situations.” – Jaganath Carrera, Inside the Yoga Sutras

By bringing clarity, focus, and objectivity to our actions, we connect our visual system to our soul purpose.

(All quotes below are by Jaganath Carrera, from Inside the Yoga Sutras.)

    Month 1: Ahimsa

    February 18 – March 11, 2026

Understand the impact of attachment wounds on our felt sense of trust and safety.

Our ability to see another with love or envy (to cast an evil eye upon) can foster or damage their connection with themselves.

    Nonviolence:

“Violence is not defined by any particular destructive act but by the desire to see another harmed. That is why nonviolence includes refraining from harm in thought as well as in word and deed.”

    Month 2: Satya

    March 18 – April 8 2026

Our seeing is our inner knowing. We only truly know what we have seen and experienced.

Visual blur is often created when we are not living in alignment with our authenticity.

Through shadow integration and working with archetypes (such as through fairy tales), we regain access to dismembered parts of ourselves.

    Truth:

“In order to perfect truthfulness, yogis need patience to observe the ultimate outcome of acts, clarity to make the proper assessment of their outcome, and accurate recall not to forget the lessons of experience.”

    Month 3: Asteya

    April 16 – May 6, 2026

When we step into our rightful nature as filled with potential rather than from a scarcity mindset, we participate in a flow state with the environment.

A hampered flow state is experienced as rigidity or chaos. These can show up as symptoms in the body, including visual refractive errors.

    Non-stealing:

“One day, we will realize that God has attended to every minute detail and given us exactly what we need at each moment to grow. At that point, we will not feel lack but abundance.”

    Month 4: Brahmacharya

    May 20 – June 10, 2026

The eyes, according to Ayurveda, are subtle in their composition and function.

Ayurveda sees dis-ease, or the absence of ease, at 3 levels: physically, based on improper use of the senses; at the soul level, as acceptance of impermanence; and mentally, as wrong choices. We will examine all 3 during this month and the next.

    Continence:

“Spiritual pursuits make significant demands on time, attention, and energy. In Yoga, as in almost any other worthwhile endeavor, the only way to ensure success is to dedicate our resources to the goals we have set before us.”

    Month 5: Aparigraha

    June 17 – July 8, 2026

When intelligence is purified, actions and intention reveal a purity in character, which corresponds to deep inner discernment, a subtle aspect of the eye.

The embodied soul can be likened to the rider in a chariot who is overcome with passion, asleep at the wheel, or present and alert.

    Non-greed:

“Greed bespeaks a basic craving, an unsatisfied state of mind. Unfulfilled craving gives birth to greed, and it is this inner gnawing to find fulfillment that leads to the other vices.”

    Month 6: Integration

    July 15 – August 5, 2026

We will bring all these concepts together – from the eyes as external light receivers which embody our discernment and help us purify our character and life.

“These are the guiding principles for anyone regardless of occupation, status, locale, the time of day year, or life, or what the context is. Since they transcend all circumstances and challenges they are as valid today as they were thousands of years ago.”

    Testimonials

Nalini teaches with a Peaceful presence and integration of skills to take you on a journey of seeing with your spirit and an opening of Your soul to see whats behind Your perception of Your life.

    – Mark D., California

The way I think of my eyes now after taking the course is way different than how I used to take them before. Before, they were just the sense organs for light; now, they are intelligent, guiding stars of the soul.

    – Maryam J., Saudi Arabia

During Nalini’s course, I had several clear flashes after her guided practices, I learned some empowering concepts such as each individual’s Sacred Point of View, and I was inspired to make some changes in my routine that make me feel more aligned with Nature. Her presentations were very well put together, and her artistic touch made them visually pleasing. I love that I can go back and repeat the practices and get a deeper understanding of some very interesting topics. You could tell that she enjoyed teaching the course and relished in our success. I highly recommend taking Nalini’s course for a unique perspective on Natural Vision improvement, and healthy living in general.

    – Art B., California

The Kind Eyes webinar was super helpful and full of insights and AHA moments. I loved how Nalini interweaved the physical knowledge of the eye with the Ayurvedic perspective and opening up the question of the physical vision to that of the greater vision of one’s own life. The kind eyes practice was profound. She is a very kind and generous teacher who shares from her own life experience and manages to transfer complex information in an easy, digestible and inspiring way. The way she leads and attracts a curious audience with calm confidence and trust in her pool of wisdom and knowledge is something that left a lasting impression on me. Thank you very much Nalini for this experience and for the way you held the space for us students to explore.

    – Stephanie P., Austria

Nalini’s course is so rich and varied; with a profound wisdom that leads us to explore the very foundations of what we have considered vision to be and how we relate to our eyes. In each aspect of the many approaches that Nalini invites us to explore, there was a nugget which echoes in my daily life since the end of the course. In fact, ‘the end’ is kind of a misnomer, since the echoes continue and deepen since the last session! I had already worked with Nalini individually before taking part in this group course, so had already profoundly changed my way of seeing and relating to my eyes. But the energy of this course encouraged me to take a final step that I had shrunk back from, which was to let go of my glasses and rely only on the pinhole ‘glasses’ (which have no glass!) when I need to distinguish some small numbers or letters. I have now been a month without touching the reading glasses that I was still using as a crutch, after having left my progressive lenses behind. My eyes are thanking me for allowing them to adjust naturally, without being forced to focus by the correction in the glass. I feel they are finally free to recover by themselves, with my support and the backup of Nalini, who I know will always have a pearl of a suggestion for me, should I need it! Thank you Nalini and those who went before you, opening up this most natural way to restore our natural vision.

    – Zsanna S., France

Nalini's session incorporates Ayurveda, Neurobiology, and beautiful palming sessions that put you at ease and at peace. The foundation for our eyes and wellbeing is health and Nalini's Wisdom of the Eyes helped me to reinvigorate and prioritize my health. She creates a space where our eyes and our experiences can be seen and appreciated for all that they are. I always enjoy Nalini's wisdom and am thankful for the wisdom our eyes give us.
